Coleen Nolan to leave Loose Women

Coleen Nolan is leaving ITV1's Loose Women at the end of this series.

The singer has been a regular on the daytime panel show for a decade alongside stars including Carol McGiffin and Andrea McLean.

Creative director of ITV daytime and lifestyle Fiona Keenaghan said: "We have loved working with Coleen for the last 10 years and can't thank her enough for the huge contribution she has made to the success of Loose Women. She remains part of the ITV daytime family and we look forward to working with her on other projects."

Viewers will see some new faces on the next series including broadcaster Janet Street Porter and comedian Sarah Millican who will join the panel on a regular basis.

Coleen said she wanted to leave on a high and paid tribute to fans of the show.

She said: "Loose Women saved me when I was at my lowest after my first marriage broke down and I was a young mum struggling to find my confidence again - Loose Women and the fans of the show that came up to me in the street who said they loved seeing me back on telly gave me that back.

"I've loved very moment and it's been one heck of a ride but there comes a time when you have to move on to new adventures and that is exactly what I intend to do - I'm not quitting TV that's for sure and I've got some exciting offers to consider but I'm not going to rush into anything just yet, I want to make sure I make the right choices after making such a big decision."

Coleen rose to fame as a singer with her sisters and was previously married to EastEnders star Shane Richie.
