Cheryl Cole's new man apparently has plenty to be pleased about after winning her mum's approval.
Dancer Tre Holloway has been stepping out with the singer and former X Factor judge since earlier this year and it seems he was keen to get the thumbs-up from her mother, Joan, who Cheryl is very close to.
Her first met the family last month and there were reports that Joan had "doubts" about whether Tre was right for the Fight For This Love singer.
But according to The Sun, Tre has been trying to prove himself and has been showering Cheryl's mum with presents, including a spa day and a necklace.
Now that he has won her round, Joan reportedly joined the couple at a party marking the end of the star's A Million Lights tour.
A friend said: "It was a big public statement."
Cheryl's last performance was in Newcastle and the singer celebrated by having Tre join her on stage before they headed to the party, which was filled with her family and friends.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "Tre was happily chatting with Cheryl's friends and family. Although he was by Cheryl's side for most of the night, he was a big hit with everyone, he fitted right in. She looked so happy. It's a big deal for Cheryl to let someone in like that, and the fact that he got on so well with all her family really means something to her."
