Chris Colfer is planning on taking his gran to the Emmys as his date.
The Glee star, who bagged a Best Supporting Actor nomination in the comedy category for his role as Kurt Hummel, will walk the red carpet with his grandma in tow.
"I'm taking my grandma, she's my date," he told reporters at the Los Angeles premiere of Glee: The 3D Concert Movie.
But Chris admitted the show's success has not helped to calm his fears about red carpet events.
"You never get used to it, I was anxious the very first time I stepped out onto a red carpet and people were screaming at you, and I'm just as anxious now," he revealed.
The actor's nomination is in a category dominated by Modern Family - he's up against four of the show's stars, as well as Two And A Half Men's Jon Cryer.
