Connelly: Boats repel me
Jennifer Connelly would never go on a cruise, as she despises the thought of travelling in a water vessel.
The 43-year-old actress stars in forthcoming dramatic adventure Noah, a film based on the story of Noah’s Ark in which God flooded the world with rain for 40 days and 40 nights.
And Jennifer confesses it would take a natural tragedy similar to what Noah experienced to get her on a boat in real life.
"I would not want to be on a cruise ship," she revealed in the April 2014 edition of DuJour magazine.
"Some ferry crossings I'm not too thrilled about. But [Noah’s Ark] is a very different circumstance. If it's 'get on the vessel or perish with the rest of humanity,' I'd be happy to be invited aboard."
Jennifer has a busy 2014 ahead, as she stars in four films slated for release this year.
One of them include a homeless drama called Shelter, which happens to be her actor husband Paul Bettany’s directorial debut.
But the actress confesses filming with her spouse wasn’t at all what she expected it to be.
"I had this fantasy that we'd talk about scenes all day. In reality, if the man sat down, there was a line of people wanting to talk to him," Jennifer recalled, before noting she didn’t walk away with any resentment.
"We've been married for 11 years. We have kids together, so I feel confident in our ability to navigate situations."
Jennifer shares son Stellan, ten, and daughter Agnes, two, with Paul and she is also mother to Kai, 16, from a previous relationship.
Her film Noah, which stars Russell Crowe and Emma Watson, will hit US theatres at the end of March.
