Connie Britton: I can blackmail co-stars

Connie Britton has joked that she might threaten to reveal some of her Friday Night Lights co-stars' secrets if a movie isn't made soon.

The actress portrayed Tami Taylor in the US TV show, which followed American football coach Eric as he pushed his team to be the best they could. The series was based on the book and film of the same name and came to a close in 2011, but fans have always hoped it would come back on the big screen. Peter Berg directed the movie and had a hand in the TV show too, but recently claimed another film isn't on the cards.

Connie has reassured fans that all is not lost.

"Listen honey, I don't know what to tell you, at this point, I only have to defer to Pete Berg," she told E! News.

"I have blackmail information on all of them. I am just choosing the right moment to use it."

Kyle Chandler portrayed Coach Taylor in the TV show and Amiee Teegarden was his and Tami's daughter Julie. She recently said she felt it was too soon for an adaptation, while Kyle has also insisted it was right for the series to end when it did.

Connie is now appearing in country music show Nashville alongside Hayden Panettiere, which she juggles with being a mother to her adopted son Eyob.

"Life as a mom is amazing," she explained. "Most of the time I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. I can't believe so many do this because how can they know what they're doing? Then I have my cute, sweet adorable boy and I'm like 'Oh, we'll figure it out!'

"Well, he's talking up a storm. And he really enjoys it. And also now, he really likes to read his books to me even though he's only two. I try to remain humble about my incredible skills that have obviously created genius," she said.
