Conrad Hilton given $90,000 bail, agrees to hospitalisation
The shamed hotel heir was caught on tape launching into a homophobic rant during his arrest last weekend (06May17).
Conrad Hilton has reportedly been offered $90,000 (£69,500) bail if he agrees to enter a hospital.
Paris and Nicky Hilton's younger brother was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning (06May17) for allegedly violating a 2015 restraining order which bans him from contacting ex-girlfriend Hunter Daily Salomon.
He allegedly broke into her mother E.G. Daily's house and stole her father Rick Salomon's 2007 Bentley Continental with his pal William James Bell and set off on a hunt for his ex.
The 23-year-old, who has been in custody since the arrest, appeared in court on Wednesday (10May17) and a judge agreed to a $90,000 bond if he was released into the custody of his father Rick Hilton. The judge also ordered Hilton to enter Menninger hospital in Houston, Texas for a mental health evaluation.
It is unclear if Hilton has been released, but the news comes a day after he was charged with one felony count of driving or taking a vehicle without consent, two misdemeanour counts of disobeying a domestic relations restraining order and one misdemeanour count of contempt of court.
Video footage of Conrad's arrest emerged on Tuesday (09May17). In it he launched into a homophobic rant at the arresting officer, calling him a "f**king f**got" and accusing him of touching his penis, before stating, "I'm Conrad motherf**king Hilton and don't you forget it."
According to TMZ, Hilton blurted out "so f**king gay" during the court hearing on Wednesday, but after the judge asked if Conrad would comply with his orders, he replied, "I am sorry to the court and the entire state for disrespecting the court..."
