Contestants' naughty one-liners steal the show
The Great British Bake Off's Benjamina Ebuehi did not manage to scoop the star baker title this week, but she did win in the innuendo stakes.
While the sauciest of one-liners are usually dropped by The Great British Bake Off hosts Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc, some of the contestants have been giving them a run for their money.
Here are some of the best innuendos of the week:
:: Ebuehi, as she discussed whipping up her meringue:
"It's quite a humid day today so we don't want it, like, deflating. We want it nice and stiff."
:: Ebuehi, to judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry when Hollywood asked if she would be "dumping" on her piping:
"I'm going to pipe it nicely with a nice nozzle. Little roses and then give it a good old blowtorch."
:: Ebuehi, talking about the thickness of her pastry:
"Possibly as thick as Selasi's (fellow baker Selasi Gbormittah), my pastry will be."
:: Andrew Smyth explaining what he likes to see in a good meringue:
"I want it to get stiff peaks."
:: Gbormittah checking to see how his dough was doing:
"It's doubled in size, probably tripled in size actually."
:: Rav Bansal as he struggled to get his cake iced:
"I'm trying to fill in all the holes."
:: Giedroyc to Berry and Hollywood as they left during the Technical challenge.
"Off you go into the garden. There are some messy bushes that need trimming."
