Cooper to resume filming in Boston
Bradley Cooper will resume his role in David O. Russell’s American Hustle after production was halted in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing last week.
The actor stars alongside Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawrence in the David O. Russell crime drama.
The entire cast was on a filming hiatus last week as law enforcement hunted for the men responsible for Monday’s attack in the Massachusetts capital, which killed three people and left almost 200 injured.
The city was put on lockdown as officials requested everyone stay indoors and businesses remain closed.
“The production is heeding the Governor’s request to remain indoors,” a SONY spokesperson told Deadline at the time.
Suspect Number One Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was gunned down and killed after engaging in a shootout with police on Thursday night.
Tamerlan’s younger brother Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, was on the run. The teenager was captured by law enforcement late Friday.
Since then production has been allowed to resume, a SONY spokesman told the outlet.
Cameras are expected to be rolling on Monday.
Bradley has done what he can to keep the spirit alive among victims on his downtime from work.
He visited bombing victim Jeffrey Bauman Jr. in hospital along with professional American football player Julian Edelman of Massachusetts team the New England Patriots.
Julian tweeted a picture of the trio together in the infirmary.
“Visited #survivor #stud #hero Jeffrey Bauman Jr. today. He was looking great and is a true inspiration. #strong (sic),” the athlete wrote attaching the image of himself, Bradley and Jeffrey.
