Corrie's Kym sets wedding date

Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas have set their wedding date

Coronation Street's Kym Marsh is to tie the knot to former Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas in September.

The 36-year-old mother-of-three - who plays Corrie barmaid Michelle Connor - has posted her wedding banns revealing she plans to marry Jamie, 37, at the luxurious Nunsmere Hall Hotel, Cheshire, The Sun revealed. The banns were made at their local registry office in Salford, Greater Manchester.

The couple have been engaged for more than two years and their decision to make a date for the big day comes two months after pictures were published in a newspaper of Jamie asleep on a bed with a girl who claimed she had kissed him.

Kym told OK! magazine in March: "I've forgiven him for that mistake and he knows he was wrong."

Jamie said: "I love Kym and our family, I wouldn't do anything to jeopardise that. I'd never cheat on Kym."

This year the couple have also denied claims their relationship was on the rocks when Jamie went to Los Angeles for work.

Kym, 35, denied the wedding was a knee-jerk reaction to the recent revelations. She said: "It was always on the agenda. We're going to have a small ceremony but then we're going to have a big mad party in the evening with all our friends."

The couple are parents to 15-month-old daughter Polly and Kym has two children, 14-year-old Emily, and 16-year-old David from her relationship with her ex Dave Cunliffe.
