Countdown on for ex-Apprentice pair
Countdown host Nick Hewer is to team up once more with his ex-Apprentice colleague Margaret Mountford when she takes a guest role on his Channel 4 show.
Margaret, formerly one of Lord Sugar's sidekicks in the show, will take a turn in "dictionary corner" for the long-running words and numbers game.
She will have a week-long stint on the show alongside usual resident lexicographer Susie Dent from Monday, April 16.
Lawyer Margaret, 60, who was noted for her icy stares, quit The Apprentice in 2009 to concentrate on her recently completed PhD and was replaced by Karren Brady.
She said: "It feels wonderful and relaxed being on the Countdown set.
"It is fun to be with an old friend with such a dry sense of humour and nice to check up on how he's getting on in his new career."
Nick said: "Countdown is great fun, often because of the personality of the dictionary corner guests, and the imminent arrival of my old Apprentice colleague Margaret promises to be the week of the year as far as I'm concerned."
