Courteney Cox has got engaged to her boyfriend Johnny McDaid.

The Friends star announced on Twitter that she and the Snow Patrol rocker are planning to tie the knot.

"I'm engaged to him!" she tweeted, along with a picture of the pair.

Johnny (37) tweeted the same photo at the same time, with the words: "I'm engaged to her!"

There had been rumours the couple were planning to make things official after Courteney, 50, was snapped flashing a diamond ring.

And earlier this year their mutual friend Ed Sheeran sparked wedding speculation when he said in an interview that Courteney and Johnny "couldn't be happier" and that he wouldn't be surprised if they got married.

Courteney was previously married to her Scream co-star David Arquette, but their 11-year marriage ended in May 2013.

The couple share custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Coco.

Scorpio:

You have to make some personal sacrifices to achieve career success. If you're going to lead a team to victory, you will have to be hard on the less industrious members of the group. As a result, you won't be terribly popular. Many will complain about your methods, but nobody can argue with the results of your work. You know how to get the best performance from the people around you. That's a rare quality that should be championed. You should be gentler with people in your private life.More
