Cowell confident of US X Factor
Simon Cowell has said he feels confident in the new judging panel for the US X Factor as they have "suddenly just clicked."
Following the departure of LA Reid and Britney Spears, he and Demi Lovato have now been joined by Kelly Rowland and Latina pop star Paulina Rubio on the panel for the third series.
Asked if this was the magic line-up Simon said: "If you'd asked me that question even a month ago, I would have said I honestly don't know.
"But recent auditions in Charleston were by far the best two days we've shot.
"It suddenly just clicked. And there's one audition in particular that's probably one of my favourites that I've ever been involved in - a one-in-10-million audition. I can't stop thinking about it. I think we may have got it right."
Meanwhile, American Idol, on which Simon used to be a judge, is also reshuffling its judging panel.
The latest series saw a fall in ratings and Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have all announced they are leaving the panel.
The TV mogul chuckled: "Not my problem any more."
"It's so much in my past now," he added. "I deliberately this year didn't watch a single second of the show."
As for reality shows, Simon, who's also a judge on Britain's Got Talent, admitted: "There is no question about it, there are too many. But funnily enough, that doesn't bother me. It makes you more focused."
