Simon Cowell has threatened that the next series of X Factor USA will be a "bloodbath".
Melanie Amaro has only just been named the show's winner, but Simon has already sparked rumours of people getting axed from the panel as he vowed to keep up with rival talent shows.
Simon told People: "Can we make the show better? Yes. I will never ever go into anything going forward unless I can believe I can make it better.
"Next year will be a bloodbath. We have to come out with something better than the rest, and that's what we aim to do."
Nicole Scherzinger's place on the judging panel and host Steve Jones' jobs are rumoured to be up for the chop.
Simon is reportedly planning a summit in January to discuss a shake-up in the format.
