Cowell 'has spotted X Factor star'

Simon Cowell has spotted a star on this year's X Factor

Simon Cowell has already spotted a "standout star" in this year's X Factor, according to a source close to the talent show supremo.

Boyband Nu Vibe became the first X Factor act to fall victim to the public vote in this year's competition when they were voted out on Saturday.

Among the remaining 11 acts who could have caught Simonl's eye are heavily-fancied Janet Devlin, band The Risk and Kitty Brucknell.

Janet impressed the judges again as she took to the stage while mourning her grandfather who died last week.

A source close to Cowell said: "Simon has already spotted an act on the show who he thinks is a clear standout star."

Viewers this weekend saw Nu Vibe end up in the bottom two of the 12 acts, with Frankie Cocozza, after judge Gary Barlow told them their lacklustre performance had "no vibe".

Their last-ditch performance of former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole's Promise This failed to win the hearts of the judges, who preferred Frankie's song - Red, by Daniel Merriweather.

It looks as if the prospects for a relationship are good, so long as your intentions are honourable. Playing with a person's heart will backfire miserably.
