Simon Cowell is reportedly prepared to fork over $10,000 to his US X Factor co-host L.A. Reid.
The music moguls are judges on the TV singing competition alongside Demi Lovato and Britney Spears.
TMZ reports that Simon made a bet with L.A. at the beginning of the season, waging that if either panelists' talent won the programme, the loser would have to fork up $10,000.
L.A.'s contestant Tate Stevens triumphed and now Simon must write his colleague a cheque. Apparently Simon is not a sore loser and is planning on handing over the cash immediately.
L.A. mentored the over 25s category and announced recently that he won't be returning to the show next season.
The judge and CEO of Epic Records instead wants to concentrate on his record company which he says he's "kind of neglected."
L.A. admitted that he'll miss Simon.
"I love Simon. We have a great relationship," he revealed to Access Hollywood recently.
"We have fun together, we talk, we laugh, we do bad things, we're friends."
