Simon Cowell wants My Way played at his funeral

Simon Cowell has revealed he wants the track My Way played at his funeral.

The TV boss, who is known for his forthright opinions and strong self belief, thinks Frank Sinatra's classic song will be a fitting tribute when his day comes, according to The Sun.

Simon made the announcement to his fellow judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams at the Britain's Got Talent auditions, when a contestant got up to sing the song.

"I've decided I'd like it to be played at my funeral," he said.

"It would be appropriate."

The star, a big Sinatra fan, already has a connection with the track, as it was played during a tribute film made when he left American Idol.
