James Bond star Daniel Craig has told how he fiercely defends his privacy - and took a swipe at stars who want it both ways.
The 007 actor - who managed to keep his marriage to Rachel Weisz under wraps in the summer - criticised those who "sell" themselves and then make demands about their private lives.
"I think there's a lot to be said for keeping your own counsel," he said, in an interview with the January edition of GQ magazine.
"It's not about being afraid to be public with your emotions or about who you are and what you stand for. But if you sell it off it's gone.
"You can't buy it back - you can't buy your privacy back."
He rounded on the Kardashian family for making a "career" out of living their lives in the public eye. "You see that and you think 'what, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f***ing idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions.
"I'm not judging it - well, I am obviously," he added.
Craig - who is now working on the 23rd Bond film, Skyfall - said he would continue to keep the details of his marriage a secret. "We got away with it. We did it privately. And I've got a lot of people to thank for that." said the 43-year-old.
"We did it for private reasons. Because we didn't want it f***ed up, because that would be sharing a secret. And the whole point is that it was a secret - a secret is a secret in my mind."
Craig said he was wary of talking about his relationship. "Look I'm in love, I'm very happy. And that is as far as I'm prepared to go," he told GQ.
