Former Cranberries lead singer Dolores O'Riordan has been released without charge after being arrested on suspicion of assaulting an air hostess.
She was detained at Shannon Airport after an incident in business class on a flight from New York's JFK Airport.
Gardai confirmed a woman in her 40s was arrested on the Aer Lingus plane after it landed yesterday morning. A Garda officer was also allegedly assaulted during the incident.
The Zombie singer was taken from the airport to Shannon Garda station.
However, it is understood the singer complained of being ill, and a doctor was summoned to the station.
On the advice of the medic, Ms O'Riordan was taken to a nearby hospital, although she was later discharged.
It is understood the air hostess suffered a suspected fracture to one of her feet and was taken to hospital in Limerick.
