Crowe dating Les Mis actress Samantha Barks?

Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe has sparked rumours he’s romancing his Les Miserables co-star Samantha Barks after the pair were reportedly seen flirting at a post-Oscars party.

The Hollywood actor is believed to have split from his wife Danielle Spencer in October last year after nine years of marriage.

Since then Russell has been linked to a bevy of Hollywood stars.

Australia’s New Idea magazine is now reporting the 48-year-old actor is romancing 22-year-old Samantha.

According to the publication, the pair are enjoying a “special relationship” since getting close on the set of Les Miserables.

A source said Samantha was seen flirting heavily with the actor at the Governor’s Ball after the Oscars last month.

“She was continually touching his sleeve, giggling and sitting in awe of his every word, and he was lapping up every moment,” the insider said.

The pair have since been seen working out out together and Samantha has also sung with Russell’s band in New York.

The actress’ father, Richard, brushed off the rumours and insisted the pair are “simply friends”.

Russell has yet to address rumours about the status of their relationship.

The actor late last month was romantically linked to Natalie Imbruglia.

UK newspaper The Mirror reported Russell was also flirting heavily with the 38-year-old Australian singer over Oscars weekend.

Russell had previously fended off claims he had enjoyed flings with burlesque dancer Dita von Teese and with Billy Joel’s ex-wife Katie Lee in the apparent wake of his marriage split.

Russell responded to the reports at the time by asserting he was focused on family.

“As soon as I finish this job & can get home, my priority is to try to bring my family back together. These latest reports are false & cruel (sic),” he tweeted back in December when rumours of his relationship with Katie surfaced.

The actor went on to spend the holidays in Sydney with his nine and six-year-old sons, Charles and Tennyson.
