Cruise and Holmes ‘incredibly happy’ post-divorce

Tom Cruise

Rock of Ages director Adam Shankman, who is good friends with both Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, claims the divorced couple are both thriving following their split last year.

The Rock of Ages helmer is impressed by how well Katie and Tom are getting along following the failure of their union.

The former couple officially divorced last summer after six years of marriage and they share six-year-old daughter Suri together.

Co-parenting doesn’t seem to be a contentious issue between Tom and Katie.

"They are incredibly happy," Adam told Us Weekly.

"I've just been emailing with him. He's coming back. He's shooting [All You Need Is Kill] in London and seems as happy as a clam. I know he sees his daughter."

Although Suri lives with her mother in New York City, Tom regularly has extended visits with his daughter all around the world.

Most recently they spent about a week hanging out with each other in the United Kingdom.

Adam is happy to see that Katie and Tom battled their way through the media furore surrounding their breakup.

"Katie seems really happy," he said.

"You just fight through all the noise. And it's noisy!"

Although it is widely reported that Katie has been enjoying life as a single woman in the Big Apple it appears that she is ready to put herself on the market once again.

Still, the actress doesn’t want to get too intimately involved with a suitor.

“She’s taken as long as she needed, but Katie now wants to start dating again,” a source told Radar Online recently.

“Katie’s in a dilemma, because she wants to date but is concerned where it could lead to from there. She’s worried that if she commits herself fully to another man, she will have to give up the freedom she’s enjoying so much at the moment.”

You could hear some painful things about your behaviour. Instead of getting defensive, be open to changing for the sake of your relationship. Think back to a time when someone you loved worked hard to gain your affection and approval. Pattern your attitude after theirs. Being flexible is more important than being right.More
