Cruz: Family is number one
Penélope Cruz is truing to find "balance" between work and being a mother.
The 39-year-old actress and husband Javier Bardem welcomed their daughter, Luna, less than three months ago and she says her loved ones' needs will always come before her career.
"I've always been a very family person, since I was a little girl, that's the way I was raised," she told America's People magazine.
"So that will always be a priority. But I have to work, like everyone else, so I will find a way to balance."
Penélope revealed her post-baby figure at The Counselor premiere Saturday and looked stunning in a fitted lace gown from Temperly London.
Javier also enjoys a role in the Ridley Scott film, about a lawyer who gets involved in drug trafficking, although the couple do not appear in any scenes together.
Penélope and Javier announced in February that they were "tremendously happy and very excited" to be expecting another baby. The couple already share a two-year-old son named Leo.
The actress also opened up about motherhood shortly after the boy was born, calling motherhood a "revolutionary experience".
"From the first second, you feel so much love. That's the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second," she explained.
The Vanilla Sky actress began dating 44-year-old Skyfall actor Javier in 2007 and the couple married in July 2010 in the Bahamas.
In addition to The Counselor, Penélope is booked to star in Spanish comedy drama La reina de España, according to IMDb. The in Fernando Trueba film is scheduled for release next year.
