Britain's Got Talent chief Simon Cowell cuddled up to his fellow judges Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden as they gave him a peck on the cheek at the launch of the new series.

In traditional fashion, Simon arrived nearly an hour after the other stars of the show as he took to the red carpet at a screening of the first episode in London.

He was also presented with a pair of tight pants decorated with the Union Flag after Amanda had earlier told crowds of fans that they belonged to him.

The panellists were at the ICA on The Mall to talk about the new series and show off the first edition of the programme which will be screened at 7pm on Saturday - going up against BBC One's The Voice.

Amanda wore a black jacket and skinny trousers with heels as she arrived, while Alesha wore a short blue and white dress with nude stilettos. Simon was a little more casual in his outfit with black round-neck jumper, jeans and his usual aviator shades.

Fourth judge David Walliams was unable to attend the screening due to filming commitments.

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Capricorn:

Your dry humour will be very popular. It's always difficult bringing a large group of people together. Everybody feels like they are walking on eggshells. After cracking a few jokes, you'll put the group at ease. Resist the temptation to make fun of relatives, especially the more sensitive members of the group. Nobody likes feeling singled out. Watching a light hearted comedy can also be a great way to generate a festive atmosphere. This is a time when people can put their differences aside.More
