Cumberbatch ‘completely relaxed’ on honeymoon
Benedict Cumberbatch and his new wife Sophie Hunter are said to have done little more than lounge and snorkel during their honeymoon.
The Imitation Game actor married 36-year-old theatre director Sophie Hunter on Valentine’s Day in an intimate ceremony.
And the pair are said to have vacationed in Bora Bora and Tahiti after the nuptials, jetting off to the tropical paradise a day after the Oscars took place on February 22.
"They were completely relaxed and didn't do much of anything other than read and swim in the water," an alleged eyewitness told Us Weekly magazine. "Benedict did a little bit of snorkeling and really enjoyed the fact that he could just put on his flippers and his mask and jump off the deck into the turquoise water. He also spent a good deal of time reading scripts and taking pictures of everything with his professional camera, especially Sophie."
Sophia is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child.
And it’s claimed Benedict, 38, made a special effort to keep her as comfortable as possible.
"Sophie spent most of her time taking naps and resting," the insider noted. "Benedict always made sure she was taken care of. He was always rubbing sunscreen on her back and kissing her neck."
Apparently the newlyweds were largely zoned out in a state of tranquil bliss throughout.
However, it’s rumoured they did manage to create somewhat of a lounging routine.
"They had breakfast every morning together on their patio," the source said. "They were very leisurely with their time and just sipped their drinks and watched the water. Whenever they got hot, they went into the ocean and swam, but most of the time they just stayed at their bungalow."
