Miley Cyrus has revealed why she turned down a judging role on The X Factor USA - because she didn't want to be a "dream crusher".
The former Hannah Montana star was approached by Simon Cowell's team about joining the talent show but she said no because she reckons she couldn't criticise the contestants' singing.
"I just don't know if I want to be some dream crusher," she told US talk show host Jay Leno on The Tonight Show.
"Would you really want to sit there as someone is belting their heart out - even if it is like hearing nails on a chalkboard - and then say to them, 'You suck?'"
Miley admitted she was "scared" of being too critical.
"I have no filter, so I would be scared I would say something and they would go home and say, 'Miley Cyrus ruined my dreams'. It seems harsh," she added.
The 19-year-old, who is engaged to Liam Hemsworth, also admitted that it was "weird" kissing Angus T Jones on Two And A Half Men, when she made a guest appearance on the hit US sitcom.
"It was kind of weird, because when I'm doing it, the prop guys and all these people are like, 'Do you have your ring on?' And I'm like, 'Ugh. This feels weird,' like taking off my ring to make out with Angus. It's creepy, it kind of felt a little weird at first," she said.
