Cyrus keeping Hemsworth relationship ‘low-key’

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has vowed to be less open about her relationship with Liam Hemsworth after sharing too much online.

The singer-and-actress is more protective of the romance now than she was in the past.

After a year of engagement she is making an effort to not reveal some personal elements of her life to the public now they are due to get married.

"We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed," she told Britain’s Elle magazine. "But we keep our relationship low-key and don't talk about it any more."

The 20-year-old has been the subject of rumours suggesting the pair are going through relationship troubles.

As reports circulate that they may have called off a legal union altogether, Miley revealed she may have made a mistake by being so open with her fans online.

"We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight - into my life and my puppies and my house - and I just don't feel they get that privilege any more," she explained. "Like on my Twitter, I'm much more . . . not conservative, but you don't see a picture of my dogs. You don't get that personal stuff any more."

The former Hannah Montana star transformed her image recently, shaving off her long locks into a platinum blonde crop.

Although she can no longer hide behind her locks, she is not keen on showing off every part of her body.

"A star is someone who doesn't have to take her clothes off to be sexy because you naturally have star power. Sex does sell, but you have to find a way that's not just showing your tits," she commented. "I don't want to be a glorified model.”
