Dakota Johnson cut Met Gala short after lamp chop theft
Dakota Johnson accidentally snorted with laughter when she was plied with tequila during an interview with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (03May16).
Dakota Johnson was left hungry at the Met Gala after her lamp chop dinner was stolen.
The 26-year-old actress was one of the attendees at the star-studded fashion event in New York on Monday night (02May16). Dakota looked stunning in a Gucci gown but cut the evening shorter than she would have liked because she was so ravenous.
During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (03May16), Stephen admitted he hadn't made it to bed until 3.30am.
"Did you really? Wow, no I was fully in bed before that," Dakota laughed. "I did (go to the after parties) but I was so hungry… and I guess everyone was hungry
"I don’t know what happened - you’re supposed to eat at the Met but I went to go pee and when I came back my lamb chop was gone!"
After catching up at the Met Gala, Dakota told Stephen that she wanted to drink tequila during their interview. And Stephen decided to comply, providing three large shots of liquor during their chat.
The alcohol seemed to have an effect as well, with Dakota becoming more giggly and even accidentally snorting with laughter at one point.
The actress was on the show to promote her new movie A Bigger Splash, in which she stars alongside Ralph Fiennes and Tilda Swinton.
"Well because you meet her and you think she might speak some kind of alien jargon or something, right?" Dakota said after Stephen admitted he was a bit "spooked" by the actress. "But she’s not like that. She’s the most maternal and loving, she’s full of love and... information."
The pair's interview came to an end when Dakota admitted she had an early start the next morning - and needed to be in Vancouver, Canada, for 5.30 am.
"I don’t want to seem like a wimp but I also have a 5.30am pickup tomorrow in Canada," Dakota laughed. "I’m filming two movies, I'm filming Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed."
