Tom Daley has beaten the likes of David Beckham and Henry Cavill to be named the World's Sexiest Man in a new poll.

The Olympic diver won Attitude magazine's poll by "a country mile", according to editor Matthew Todd.

Digital Spy reported that heartthrob Tom, 19, was given his award at a ceremony at the Cumberland Hotel in London.

Football star David came second, while Man Of Steel star Henry was third and Prince Harry was fourth.

One Direction's Zayn Malik beat his bandmates to take fifth place in the poll, which will be revealed in full in the magazine's 52-page supplement on July 24.

The top ten was rounded out by Ryan Gosling, Zac Efron, Zachary Quinto, Frank Ocean and Russell Tovey.

Editor Matthew said: "We thought we'd turn the regular sexiest women polls on their head. It's a bit of fun but the response was overwhelming and there were some surprising votes!"
