Tess Daly says there's no way she would tone down her accent to say "because I'm worth it" - because Vernon Kay wouldn't let her.
The Strictly Come Dancing presenter is the new face of L'Oreal but told The Daily Mirror that when it came to uttering the brand's famous catchphrase she wouldn't abandon her northern roots.
She said: "I couldn't dare tone down my accent because Vernon would tell me off. I'm posh compared to him, though. I tease him all the time.
"I can only be me, really. The first time I said it I got emotional - they're iconic words. We've grown up listening to these amazing women say these immortal words - I had to pinch myself."
Tess, 44, who is married to Vernon, 39, told the Mirror she would be asking her Strictly pal Kimberley Walsh for Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl's number to see if the L'Oreal ambassador could give her any tips.
Former model Tess also said she felt she might need to keep her appearance more polished than usual because of her new job.
She said: "I had a moment where I thought: 'Oh no, does this mean I have to leave the house immaculately groomed every day?
"I'm going to have to make more effort with my appearance on a daily basis."
