Daly wary about Kay double act

Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has suggested that she would not have picked her husband Vernon Kay to join her as Sir Bruce Forsyth's replacement on the TV show.
The BBC has announced that Claudia Winkleman had landed the job of co-presenting the hit ballroom dancing show with Tess.
Vernon was mooted as a possible replacement after Sir Bruce decided to step down, with the presenter quoted as saying: "It would be great to work with Tess again".
But asked whether her husband could step into Sir Bruce's shoes, Tess, speaking before Claudia was confirmed for the show, told Radio Times magazine that the married stars were too familiar with each other.
"We worked together on a BBC show called Just The Two Of Us and it was good fun as we are so comfortable together," she said.
"But there is that danger of over familiarity, where you find yourself snapping and thinking, 'sorry, forgot!' Thought we were at home for a minute!'"
She joked that she would like to see Vernon compete on the show as a dancer.
"I think he'd be a great contestant, though - he's a great dancer - I'll have a word about him later!"
