Dannii Minogue is hoping her X Factor success will see an end to criticism fired in her direction.
The Aussie, who mentored winning act Matt Cardle, had a difficult first year on the show but came out fighting this time.
The glamorous new mum told this week's Heat magazine: "I hope that now people have got to know me a bit more."
Rival judge Louis Walsh famously made her cry live on television, but Dannii maintains they are good friends now.
"He's hilarious! If there were problems again, we'd sort it out.
"I just hate confrontation. If people attack me, I retreat. It's not in my personality to fight.
"That first year, people said I was cold, but I was just bruised from the criticism. It was hard."
Dannii paid tribute to X Factor champion Matt and said she would "love" to return to the show for a fifth time next year.
