Danny: I won't choose between acts

Coach Danny O'Donoghue couldn't choose between his acts on The Voice

The Voice coach Danny O'Donoghue has branded BBC bosses immoral for trying to make him choose between his acts on live TV.

In last week's semi-final, host Holly Willoughby asked Danny to name the artist he would like to see make it through to the final, but he refused.

He told The Sun: "The bosses wanted me to say if I would send home Karl Michael or Andrea Begley if it was up to me to decide, but I just couldn't do it.

"I couldn't let either of them down. There is a format to follow, but we all have morals. And every single one of the coaches does what we want.

"I probably should have answered the question, but I felt it was unfair. The number of hours both of them had put in at that point was incredible.

"For me it would have been like choosing a favourite child. And at the end of the day, we are trying to create an artist who will sell millions of records. So whoever won the public vote was the right person for me to have in the final, because they will sell the most records. It turned out that was Andrea."

Meanwhile, there have been rumours that bosses are planning to change the line-up of coaches for the next series in a bid to revamp the show. Danny, Jessie, Tom and Will have previously said they will only return for a third series all together, or not at all.

Asked about returning to the panel next year Danny said: "We've been told another series has been commissioned but we have not been approached - so I'll leave it until we've all been asked until I answer."

A needy relative could request help. This would be a good time to establish some healthy boundaries. Stop dropping everything for this relative's benefit.More
