David Beckham: I'm a cartoonist

David Beckham shared insights into his private life during a live Twitter chat where he revealed his hidden talent for drawing.

The British sportsman answered questions on Twitter as part of a promotional activity to tie in with the release of his new H&M underwear campaign video today.

During the live session, David was asked what profession he would have followed had he not made it in soccer.

"I enjoy drawing cartoons," David answered. "So I'd go for an artist."

David was also quizzed about his new advert for the high street store, which was directed by movie legend Guy Ritchie. The hunky star, who appears semi-naked in promo, revealed which items are his favourite from the line.

"[I prefer boxers over briefs]," David tweeted. "My favourite piece would be the white boxer with the red waistband. It was great working with someone of Guy Ritchie's calibre, not just good at what he does but a perfect gentleman."

David continued to share his thoughts on what he has learnt during his time playing soccer. As a boy he would practise at every opportunity and advised any budding athletes to do the same.

"I took a ball to school, so [I'd practise] every break time and after school until it got dark," David continued. "[I'd advise my 20-year-old self] you need dedication, belief, to work hard and have a lot of fun."

During his career David has played for teams around the world and has reminisced about his favourite moments. He recently signed to French club Paris Saint-Germain FC, but explained that London has a special place in his heart.

"London is my home," he said, before talking about his career highs.

"The best player I have played against is Roberto Carlos, best player I've played with is Zidane (sic)."

When it comes to his personal style, David's children feature heavily in his clothing decisions. His daughter Harper was the inspiration behind his favourite pair of boots.

"That would have to be my current Adidas boots, they are pink which i chose because of Harper," David gushed. "My favourite [tattoos] are the ones about my children, no new ones planned yet, have to find some space. [And my favourite hairstyle would have to be] the shaved head because it was nice and easy (sic)."

The star continued to share insights into his lifestyle. David revealed who his dream dinner guests would be as well as the actor he admires the most.

"[My] favourite actor would have to be Tom Cruise, my favourite movie Ratatouille," David admitted.

"A tricky one but [my dream dinner guests would be] The Queen, Jack Nicholson and Muhammad Ali would be good."
