David Beckham 'to complete Paris move'

David Beckham is set to join Paris St Germain today.

Following the end of his contract with soccer team LA Galaxy there has been much speculation about the athlete's next move.

Now it's being reported by Sky News that the 37-year-old star has travelled to France to complete the formalities.

It's thought David is undergoing a medical examination before the news is officially announced at a press conference this afternoon.

The sportsman and wife Victoria, along with their four children, recently relocated from America to London.

The famous family has been spotted around the capital, but David had always made it clear his next career move would be based on "footballing reasons".

The hunk played for LA Galaxy for six years and it's believed he received many offers from around the world, including clubs in China and Australia.

Fashion designer Victoria has been keeping busy in the UK, working on her clothing line and planning the launch of her first store.

Recently it was reported the brunette apparently worries for their relationship, should David sign a contract for a club in a different country.

"Vic thought leaving LA would be the last upheaval and says she came back to the UK with visions of them being together - not for him to fly to the other side of the world," a source told British magazine Closer. "She's extremely supportive of his career, but doesn't want the pressure of a long-distance relationship. It does put a strain on them, as it would with anyone. They work hard at their marriage and she hates the thought of him working away."
