Davis plots new Celebrity Squares

Life's Too Short star W arwick Davis is working on a new version of the 1970s gameshow Celebrity Squares.

He has appeared in a pilot episode of the show which could be developed into a series if ITV bosses think it will be a hit.

The show, which first ran from 1975 to 1979 before briefly being brought back in the 1990s and was hosted by Bob Monkhouse, sees nine celebrities sitting in boxes based on noughts and crosses with contestants asked to predict if they will answer questions correctly.

Warwick, whose film career included roles in Willow and the Harry Potter films, starred in Life's Too Short alongside its creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

Guest stars have included Liam Neeson and Johnny Depp and a special episode of the show reunited Warwick with his Willow co-star Val Kilmer.
