Dax calls for magazine boycott
Dax Shepard thinks “celebrity children” shouldn’t be featured on the pages of tabloid magazines.
The 39-year-old comedian and his wife, Veronica Mars actress Kristen Bell, welcomed their daughter Lincoln in March 2013.
And he is not happy about the attention his little girl has been receiving from the press.
“Please boycott magazines that run pics of ‘celebrity children.’” he wrote to his Twitter fans on Monday.
“They shouldn't be punished for who their parents are.”
Dax delved even further into the subject with his subsequent tweet.
He went as far as to suggest kids being featured in tabloids could be considered criminal.
“Children shouldn't be stalked. #boycottusweekly #boycottstar #boycottpeople #boycottintouch #boycottboycottboycott,” he stated.
Kristen and Dax have been together since 2007, and they tied the knot in October of last year.
The couple waited to wed until California legally recognised same-sex marriage, which happened in June 2013.
"The morning that [the law] was passed, in June, we weren't at home together. I got up about 5am and was watching the ruling," she recalled to British newspaper The Metro.
"I very calculatingly proposed to him on Twitter a few minutes later, as I knew it would get picked up by the media. It would have been embarrassing if he'd said no."
The couple's wedding was just as relaxed as their engagement, with a small ceremony at the Beverly Hills County Clerk Office.
