Dax Shepard: I want to be like Kurt and Goldie

Dax Shepard

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell want to be the next Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.

The real-life couple play lovers in the action movie Hit & Run. Dax and Kristen enjoyed working together so much that they would consider collaborating again in the future. They joked that they could become known in a similar way to legendary screen couple Kurt and Goldie - who like Kirsten and Dax have been involved in a long-term relationship without marrying.

"I'd like to be Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn and do four or five of these suckers together," Dax joked to MTV News.

"In fact, we should redo the boat movie, Overboard. I'd be Jack, right? Yes, look for [us in] Overboard next fall in a marina near you."

Kristen and Dax got engaged in 2010 after dating for three years. The lovebirds admit appearing together in Hit & Run was a risky decision but are confident that their passionate relationship is conveyed in the movie.

"It was kind of high-risk, because had we not had chemistry, that would have been rough for everyone," Dax explained, before Kristen added: "I think plenty of people have watched movies with people without chemistry."

"Aha, but when they are dating, it's rough. But when they are engaged, it's rougher," Dax quipped.
