Daybreak and One Show in NTA battle

Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley are set to go head-to-head with their replacements on The One Show at the National Television Awards.

Daybreak, The One Show, This Morning and Loose Women are all up for Topical Magazine Programme Of The Year.

Adrian and Christine quit their BBC jobs on The One Show - now presented by Jason Manford and Alex Jones - to host ITV's relaunched breakfast show Daybreak earlier this year.

The 16th annual National Television Awards, hosted by Dermot O'Leary at the O2 Arena, will also pit Katie Price against ex-husband Peter Andre.

Katie's ITV2 show What Katie Did Next is up for the Digital Choice Award, against Peter Andre: The Next Chapter, on the same channel.

Doctor Who's Matt Smith and Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch are up for Drama Performance. Doctor Who and Sherlock are also up for best Drama at the awards, taking place on January 26.

In the Most Popular Talent Show category, The X Factor is pitted against Strictly Come Dancing, Britain's Got Talent, Dancing On Ice and Don't Stop Believing.

Coronation Street, EastEnders, Hollyoaks and Emmerdale are up for Serial Drama.

Jonathan Ross is up for Most Popular Entertainment with Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, against Piers Morgan's Life Stories, and Ant and Dec's Push The Button.
