Demi Lovato refers to beau Wilmer Valderrama as her "hubby-to-be", according to reports.

The 22-year-old singer has been dating 35-year-old Wilmer Valderrama on and off since 2010, and the couple are said to be stronger than ever.

He's been there for her during times of need, such as when she entered rehab in 2010 for physical and emotional issues, and Demi is now apparently keen to say 'I do'.

"They've been talking about it for a while. Demi's been referring to Wilmer as her hubby-to-be to everyone in her camp," an insider told US OK! magazine.

"Anyone else might have run for the hills, but Wilmer stood by her."

The insider adds that their relationship was tested to the max in 2013, when Demi slipped back into her old ways dabbling in alcohol and drugs. Wilmer's refusing to talk to her for 24 hours reportedly made the star see sense, and she was quick to hire a sobriety coach.

It seems Demi has had a positive effect on her beau too, as he was once a ladies' man rather than a one-woman guy.

"He used to swear he would never settle for one girl. He loved bouncing from woman to woman. [But when he met Demi] they both decided to better themselves for each other," a source added.

They're supposedly in no rush to walk down the aisle though, as the brunette beauty still needs to pick out a ring. But a close pal hints that Demi and Wilmer are hoping to get married before the year is out and can't wait to begin their future together as husband and wife.
