Game Of Thrones star Joe Dempsie has admitted he gets asked to go topless for absolutely no reason on the hit fantasy drama.
The 25-year-old former Skins star - who plays blacksmith Gendry - insisted he didn't have to take his clothes off as much as some of the other actors in the HBO drama, but he accepted it as part of the job.
Joe told The Metro: "There have been scenes where I've had my shirt off for no particular reason. In series two, I was supposed to be forging a sword - there's a health and safety issue there to begin with - it was supposed to be very hot, which would explain my lack of clothing, but we filmed it in Belfast in November in the rain.
"The nudity is an aspect of the show that has been ridiculed but it's part and parcel of it."
The Liverpool-born actor also confessed that despite appearing in the Sky Atlantic show, as well as Merlin, Doctor Who and The Fades, he doesn't actually watch fantasy himself.
He said: "I prefer things rooted in reality but it's weird how things have gone. It's not been something I've been interested in but Game Of Thrones is more than monsters and battles."
