Denise: I want to learn a new skill

Denise Van Outen said she is hoping to learn a new skill on the dancefloor

Denise Van Outen has insisted she has no dancing experience that will give her an unfair advantage in Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress and singer is already being tipped to win the show because of her experience on the West End stage in musicals including Legally Blonde and Chicago.

But Denise said: "I'm coming into this just like everybody else, because I want to learn a new skill. This is something I've never done before."

She admitted her stage experience would help, but no more than any of the other actors' performance background.

She said: "It will help my performance in the same way it will help other people here who act. It will help taking on the different personas for the different dances.

"But the dancing is so completely different to what I've done before.

"And actually I've only ever done one show I've ever danced in, and that was Chicago and I did one number in that, and that was 11 years ago.

"So, this is all new to me."

Gemini:

You never do anything in moderation. Attend every fun party, accept every juicy offer and try all the delectable treats spread before you. Avoid unpleasant people and activities like the plague. This should be a time of enjoyment. Leave your list of chores at home. You can always attend to these jobs at another time. If you have a chance to show your creative work to a publisher, manager or agent, go ahead. This is also a great opportunity to go on job interviews, auditions and first dates.More
