Denise Richards: I brush my teeth after every meal

Denise Richards brushes her teeth following everything she eats which often includes pretzels and gumballs.

The actress carries around the necessary equipment with her all day so she can keep up her strict dental regime.

The 42-year-old star finds a bathroom to clean her mouth every time she enjoys a meal.

"I carry a toothbrush and use Marvis' green mint toothpaste after every meal," she told Us Weekly.

It’s no wonder she worried about her dental hygiene.

Denise admits to carrying sugary and salty snacks in her Alice + Olivia leather tote bag at all times.

"My kids and I love pretzels,” she confessed. “The salt is all over the bottom of my bag. We also have a gum ball machine in the house, so I always have pink Dubble Bubble gumballs on me!"

As well as starring in ABC Family’s Twisted series, Denise is also parent to Sam, nine, Olivia, eight, and Eloise, two.

The single mother is Charlie Sheen’s former wife and currently takes care of his twins with ex-spouse Brooke Mueller while she is in rehab.

Due to her hectic schedule she needs plenty of items on her person throughout the day in order to function well.

"I could live inside my bag! I use everything I have on me," she commented.

While she is moving around, Denise opts for home comforts.

The thespian takes sentimental gifts from her kids with her as well as the latest technologies.

"The girls always draw me pictures before I go away. Eloise scribbles, so I have something from her too," she shared.

"I have the iPhone iHome speakers. They're great for hotel rooms - and I use them a lot in my trailer at work."

When boarding planes she likes to make sure she feels totally comfortable too.

Therefore she keeps extra clothing in her bag just in case.

"I hate taking my shoes off at security and being barefoot in the middle of the airport,” Denise declared. “So if I'm wearing sandals or heels, I'll slip on socks before I have to walk through the metal detectors."
