Dennis Hopper's works of art, memorabilia and decorative arts are going on the auction block in New York.

Among the highlights is a portrait by Andy Warhol titled Mao. The auction house says the late Easy Rider star shot two bullet holes into the portrait of the Chinese communist leader Mao Tse-Tung after a wild night in the early 1970s.

Christie's says Warhol circled the holes and labelled them "warning shot" and "bullet hole". It says the two men agreed to call the work a collaboration.

The screenprint has a pre-sale estimate of 20,000 to 30,000 dollars. (£13,000-£19,000)

The January 11-12 sale also has posters from the film star's movies, including Apocalypse Now and Blue Velvet. Most are estimated to sell for 200 to 500 dollars (£130-£320).

Taurus:

An embarrassing secret will come to light, affecting your reputation. Somebody who once admired you will now turn away in dismay. Instead of trying to win their affection again, lay low for a wee while. You'll make a much better impression by letting your actions speak for themselves. There is a chance this relationship is beyond redemption. If your former friend decides to keep their distance, you will have no other choice than to respect their feelings. Better luck next time.More
