Depp to cameo in Gervais' new show

Johnny Depp will have a cameo role in Ricky Gervais' latest TV comedy

Ricky Gervais has confirmed Johnny Depp is to appear in his new comedy Life's Too Short.

The Hollywood heartthrob will cameo in Ricky and writing partner Stephen Merchant's new sitcom for BBC Two, which stars Willow and Harry Potter star Warwick Davis as a pompous dwarf who runs a talent agency for other vertically-challenged entertainers.

Ricky said of the rumours on his website: "The Depp bit is true."

But he denied reports American comedian Jerry Seinfeld would also be appearing in the show, which has been described as a cross between Curb Your Enthusiasm and Extras.

The show, which is also being screened on America's HBO channel, begins filming in May.

Johnny is a big fan of British comedy having previously made a cameo in The Fast Show's Last Ever episode in 2000 as a customer to the "Suits You" tailors.

He has also slipped in several Fast Show references into The Pirates Of The Caribbean films as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Taurus:

An embarrassing secret will come to light, affecting your reputation. Somebody who once admired you will now turn away in dismay. Instead of trying to win their affection again, lay low for a wee while. You'll make a much better impression by letting your actions speak for themselves. There is a chance this relationship is beyond redemption. If your former friend decides to keep their distance, you will have no other choice than to respect their feelings. Better luck next time.More
