Diana Ross 'vows to help Paris'
Diana Ross is apparently planning to visit Paris Jackson in the wake of her suicide bid and has been offering her support to Katherine Jackson.
The legendary singer, who is Paris’ godmother, has been offering comfort to the teenager’s grandmother Katherine Jackson after Paris was hospitalised last week. According to RadarOnline.com, Diana is now planning to visit Paris and help her get back on track.
“Diana is extremely concerned about Paris,” a source told the website. “She was stunned that Paris attempted suicide and has vowed to make sure she gets the help she needs.
“Diana is planning on visiting Paris after she is released from hospital - and it will be out of the glare of the media.”
Paris, 15, was taken to hospital last week after cutting herself with a meat cleaver and swallowing painkillers.
When Paris’ father Michael Jackson passed away in 2009, his will revealed that he wanted his mom Katherine to have custody of his three children in the event of his death. It also stipulated that Diana will be named “guardian of the persons and estates of such minor children” if Katherine, 83, ever becomes incapacitated.
Diana, 69, takes her role very seriously and wants to be a part of Paris’ life, along with the teenager's brothers Prince Michael and Blanket.
“Diana absolutely isn’t going to make a move for custody of the children after Paris’ suicide attempt,” the source added. “She only wants what is best for them. Diana has tremendous respect for Katherine and all that she has done for the children and told her, last week when they spoke, that if she needed anything, she stands ready to help in any way.”
The Motown legend is believed to have spent time with the three kids last summer, while the Jackson family were feuding.
“Diana told them they could call her anytime they needed anything,” the insider revealed.
