Dina Lohan pleads not guilty to DUI
Lindsay Lohan's mother has pleaded not guilty to drink driving charges in New York.
A judge suspended Dina Lohan's driver's license before releasing her without bail.
State police say the 50-year-old was stopped earlier this month while allegedly speeding on a Long Island parkway.
A breath test showed the mother of the troubled film actress had a blood-alcohol level that was more than double New York's legal limit of 0.08 percent. She was issued tickets for DUI and speeding.
Dina Lohan's lawyer, Mark Heller, said said his client has no criminal record and is a lifelong Long Island resident who has raised four children as a single mother. He did not specifically address the allegations against her, and she did not comment to reporters.
"Dina Logan is painfully mindful of the gravity of her arrest for driving while intoxicated," he said.
"I am confident that the district attorney's office and the judicial system will temper justice with mercy."
The arrest comes just months after her daughter completed her latest stint in rehab.
