Diplo and Zedd feud on Twitter over song

Diplo and Zedd have been trading barbs on Twitter after Diplo criticised his fellow DJ's new song.

Zedd, real name Anton Zaslavski, teamed up with R&B singer Aloe Blacc in February (16) to release a new version of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory song The Candy Man to promote the chocolate brand M&Ms.

Diplo shared a video of their music video and accused Zedd of ripping off Australian DJ Flume and taking on the project simply for the money. He wrote, "wtf (what the f**k) is this?..(thumbs down emoji)? fake flume drop ft (featuring) m&ms? It's not OK do this man come on .. It's not all about the (money bag emoji)."

Zedd hit back, tweeting, "@diplo stop being a jealous little b**ch and do us all a favor and just shut the f**k up...Thank you (sic)."

Diplo, real name Thomas Pentz, refused to keep quiet and instead soon took the feud to a new level by making it personal in a set of now-deleted posts. In the messages he referenced Selena Gomez, who the musicians have both been romantically linked to.

"@Zedd your (sic) young and rich and a great musician.. Use that to your advantage.. Don't be such a pompous cornball loser also I f***ed your girl... you aren't a bad person . I just know you can do better that's all .. I'm just praying for you."

Zedd did not respond, but fellow DJ Deadmau5 soon got involved by accusing Diplo of being a hypocrite by blasting Zedd for making music for money, when Diplo had recently done a collaboration with Justin Bieber on Where Are U Now.

Deadmau5 retweeted Diplo's message about money and added, "..unless it's a bieber collab... Coz that's in no way, about money (sic). We all know zedds s**t sucks. But we love him... Literally hopped off Justin's d**k to say someone's s**t is about money? God DAMN I love Twitter. I do... *drops mic* *tends to his goats*"

Diplo did not back down and replied to Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, writing, "@deadmau5 Joel why are u so obsessed with Justin's wiener? I can introduce you if you want?"

Deadmau5 later told his followers to calm down over the feud, concluding, "I was just trying to win an argument I had nothing to do with just so I could say I win arguments I have nothing to do with."

Diplo and Zedd have feuded on Twitter in the past. In 2015, Diplo called Zedd's new album True Colors "a pile of s**t".
