DJ Fox takes home lucky pup Bonzo

DJ Neil Fox has given one "loveable little mutt" from London a new home.

Foxy and his family rehomed Shih Tzu/Jack Russell cross puppy Bonzo after visiting the Battersea Dogs And Cats Home last week.

Bonzo arrived at the charity centre in February after his owners felt they could no longer care for him.

Luckily for the dog, Neil, his wife and their three children, Scarlet, 10, Jack, nine, and five-year-old Martha, fell in love with Bonzo straight away.

Neil said: "If I had tried to create my perfect little dog, it would look just like Bonzo, a lovable little mutt.

"As soon as we saw his photo we knew he was the perfect dog for us and he's just adorable. He is our first family dog and is now a new member of the Fox family, so we can't wait to get him home."

And Bonzo could soon be introduced to listeners of the Foxy's Brighter Breakfast on Magic 105.4 FM, as Neil added: "Half of our listeners have pets and people are always sending us photos of their animals, so I know Bonzo will be popular on the show."

The lucky pup will also be enjoying long walk in the countryside with his new family. Neil said: "We have a lovely house in the country next to a beach and there are lots of families with dogs, so Bonzo will have plenty of doggy mates."

The charity reunites lost dogs and cats with their owners or cares for them until new homes can be found.
