Douglas and Jones ‘renewing vows’
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones are reportedly set to renew their wedding vows.
The Hollywood stars have recently faced a rocky patch in their 13-year-marriage.
The couple, who have children Carys and Dylan together, confirmed they were having a trial separation last year after rumours they were living separate lives.
But friends now say the couple have happily reunited and are planning a romantic ceremony to renew their vows.
"They were together at Christmas with their children. It was then that Michael popped the question. he went down on one knee and said to Catherine 'Let's get married again!'
"They're ready to pledge their love to each other again on Valentine's day," a source told British magazine Now.
Michael took home the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television at last week's Golden Globe Awards, for his role as Liberace in Behind the Candelabra.
In his acceptance speech he sent his love out to his family.
"To Catherine, Carys, Cameron and Dylan - all my love!" he gushed as he accepted the prestigious award. Cameron is Michael’s older son from a previous relationship.
Michael, 69, has made no secret of the fact that he wants his marriage to welsh beauty Catherine to work.
Speaking last year, the veteran actor commented "I hope to resolve my marriage in a positive fashion."
After a tough time of things, which included overcoming throat cancer for Michael and Catherine battling bipolar disorder, the couple spent Christmas together holidaying in Canada.
It marked the first time the pair had been spotted together in public since April last year.
