Drew Barrymore is "the happiest" she has been in her life.

The actress became engaged to art dealer Will Kopelman in December.

Drew appears to be content with life at the moment.

"She's the happiest she's ever been," a source told People magazine.

Drew and Will experienced love at first sight. Although the actress has had two failed marriages and very public relationships with Fabrizio Moretti and Justin Long, Drew could tell that Will was the one for her.

"There were sparks right away," the source continued. "They just knew."

Although the pair have not yet wed, Drew is already settling into the role of Will's wife.

"She's still Drew, but she has calmed down," the source explained. "It's almost like they're already married.

"It's that When Harry Met Sally thing. Once you find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."

Although the wedding is a top priority, Drew is not expected to throw a wild affair.

"It will be very traditional, no elopement on the beach," the insider revealed.

Drew and Will are currently working out ceremony details.
