Duchess of Cambridge 'considers hypno-birth'

Duchess of Cambridge

Catherine Middleton might be interested in a hypno-birth.

Catherine is expecting her first child with husband Prince William, with her due date believed to be July 13. It has been claimed that the 31-year-old royal has been putting together a birth plan and may decide against a traditional method.

According to sources, Catherine wants a completely natural labour, and is considering hypno-birthing while submerged in an inflatable pool filled with water.

If she chooses this plan, she will learn hypnosis techniques which she can use during the birth to help avoid relying on pain medication.

"Kate has researched various birthing methods. She wants it to be natural, so hypno-birthing is one option that appealed and she has been reading up on it and listening to CDs to get into the right frame of mind," a source told British magazine Grazia. "Some of her friends have used this method and swear by it. Kate wants to do it her way and to be relaxed."

Catherine is reportedly planning to give birth in a private wing at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, where William was born.

William is apparently determined to remain by his wife's side throughout the labour.

Catherine has been joking to friends about heading to her local coffee shop once the baby has arrived.

"She's been telling everyone that she's absolutely desperate for a latte [they've apparently been making her feel sick]," added the insider.

It was recently reported that the duchess is taking cooking lessons. Catherine's new housekeeper Antonella Fresolone is apparently teaching the pregnant royal to whip up sumptuous Italian dishes.
